5. The Dallas defensive line will keep this team from folding

I don’t remember the last time I was this confident in the Cowboys’ defensive line unit. Every single one of them seems to contribute in some way.

Parsons of course had an amazing day, while Lawrence also had several pressures and his fumble return for a touchdown. Dorance Armstrong also had a phenomenal day with a blocked punt and a strip sack. Overall, the defense recorded five sacks, four of them coming from the defensive line (Osa Odighizuwa had the fourth and final sack of the game).

The defensive line just played out of their minds against the Rams. They forced pressure on Matthew Stafford all day, and he just looked rattled any time he stepped back. They also did a great job at stopping the run, which was one of my things to watch for the game, allowing just 2.5 yards per carry and a total of 38 rushing yards.

If there’s anything to take away from the game, it’s that this defensive line continues to look dominant. They are the heart and soul of this defense. They also forced pressure which resulted in an interception late in the game. They affect every aspect of the game and will keep this team in it no matter what.
