We all know that Hall of Famer and Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is a homer. The 12-year Cowboy spent his entire career in Dallas and uses his current broadcasting career to promote his former team loudly and proudly. Sometimes, he admittedly takes it a little too far. A prime example was when he went on First Take during the preseason and said the 2022 Cowboys could be the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins if they clean up penalties.

That was a bit much.

And even after the Cowboys lost in brutal fashion to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Irvin remained faithful for the rest of the season. Perhaps that’s why he posted this incredibly emphatic video after the ‘Boys beat the Bengals on a game-winning field goal.

Irvin was very animated about how nobody believed in Dallas and his phone was literally shaking while he recorded because he was so amped up. Here’s what he said (more like vehemently screamed):

"This is why this is America’s Team! When all hope is gone and nobody believes it’s possible, and nobody believes there’s a chance to do anything. Every time somebody has something to do with the team that wears a star on the side of their helmet, and they rise up and they do something great. Did you see that?! Hey. Stephen A. They said Cooper Rush was doing a Tom Brady imitation the last few plays there. And when they got… OH MY GOD! We got a win. Cooper! Rush!"

Michael Irvin posts a hilarious reaction video after the Cowboys beat the Bengals

Somebody, please check this man’s pulse. Is he okay? There’s excitement and then there’s what we just watched.

The best part is that he tagged his good friend, famed Cowboys hater Stephen A. Smith in the video. Just last week, Smith was feeling his best and laughing about how the Cowboys season was already over.

Irvin certainly wasn’t going to let him live that down.

Right after the game, the ESPN host posted a video to Twitter, too. He does a dramatic slow pan to his unhappy face and simply says, “lucky a**es.”

These two are something else, and the chaos continued on First Take Monday morning.

Irvin, of course, picked Rush as his top playmaker of Week 2 (certainly zero bias detected at all) because nobody believed in him. Then, the Hall of Famer and Smith just begin to scream over each other about how the other is wrong. It’s pretty typical of the chaos you get on any given First Take episode.

When the NFL legend again compared the backup QB to Tom Brady, Smith literally fell to his knees in disbelief. I am not even sure how to properly describe the rest of this video, but it’s once again worth wondering if there is medical staff on this set to make sure these two don’t have a heart attack every time they rant about the Cowboys.

While Dallas fans are certainly excited about the unexpected victory in Week 2, it’s safe to say no one was as electrified as Irvin.
