2. Rookie Tyler Smith shows his dominance

Coming out of college, rookie offensive tackle/guard Tyler Smith was known for two things: committing penalties and being a bully.

The penalty part of his game should be cleaned up with professional coaching. The mauler aspect of his game came naturally and was on full display this week at camp.

This video does not show the only time the 2022 first-round pick showed off in practice. There were multiple occasions in practice where the young guard lifted a defensive lineman off the ground.

The offensive line was an area that struggled all year in 2021, so the addition of Smith will hopefully mean a plug-and-play lineman from day one. He started 13 games at left tackle last season for Tulsa and just turned 21 in April.

The future of the Cowboy’s o-line is bright with Smith at guard, and he can eventually take over for left tackle. If he keeps up with this type of production, there may be a Pro Bowl nomination soon.
