3. Captain America Uniforms in 1976

It doesn’t get much better than Captain America, Roger Staubach, wearing the uniform with the bicentennial stripes to commemorate America. These uniforms are absolutely gorgeous.

America celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1976, and for that year, the Cowboys added an additional color to their uniform to support the United States. A simple red stripe was added to the helmet to show patriotism.

The blue on the jerseys here is a much darker navy that matches the pants and helmet logo. Should the Cowboys update their current home whites, the only change they should make is taking this shade of blue for their numbers.
