1. Colts @ Cowboys, Week 13

The Cowboys kick off December at home against the Indianapolis Colts for Sunday Night Football. The Colts will have a new leader at the helm, but it’s not a man the Cowboys are unfamiliar with. In one of the biggest moves of the offseason, Indy said goodbye to Carson Wentz and picked up Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

This is good and bad news for the Cowboys. The bad is that Ryan is a better quarterback. He’s likely to have far more success with guys like Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce than Wentz did. With a QB who can actually throw, expect the Colts to not solely rely on star running back Jonathan Taylor, although Taylor will do damage of his own, too. The good news is that defensive coordinator Dan Quinn was Ryan’s coach for six seasons. Quinn knows everything about this guy, and that will be a huge bonus for Dallas.

Aside from a strong offense, the Colts also have a powerful defense led by All-Pro LB Darius Leonard, Bobby Okereke, Kwity Paye, Stephon Gilmore, and now Yannick Nagkoue. This defensive unit will be ready to put pressure on Prescott and eye takeaways and fumbles at all times.

Of all the games on this list, the Cowboys have the best chance here. They have great knowledge of the quarterback and should be able to get good stops on Taylor and the offense despite the bright lights of Sunday Night Football. Let’s hope the Cowboys start December off with a W.
