1. Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys, Week 2, 4:25PM ET

The schedule makers were not kind to the Cowboys in the first two weeks of the season. After, facing Tampa Bay in Week 1, they have to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

The Bengals were the surprise team of the 2021 season as they ended up AFC champions and were within one possession of winning the Super Bowl. The duo of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase broke onto the scene last year and put together a historical season. Burrow threw for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns while Chase reeled in 81 passes for 1,455 and 13 touchdowns.

This will be a great test for the Dallas secondary. I am especially looking forward to the Chase vs. Diggs matchup. Diggs will be looking to build on his 11 interceptions, first-team All-Pro season. Also, the Bengals’ offensive line has been a weak spot of theirs so Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence should be pinning their ears back in pursuit of Burrow.

Overall, the first two weeks of the season will tell us a lot about the 2022 Cowboys. In the grand scheme of things, it is only two of 17 games. But, playing well against the NFL’s top teams can provide plenty of confidence for a Dallas team that is hoping to repeat as division champions and make a deep run in the playoffs.
