5. The Cowboys Stuck to Their Plan

The Dallas front office has had to deal with so many distractions and emotional situations that could have really thrown a wrench in their free agency and draft processes, but they were able to weather the storm and stick to their plan. That resolve has been shown many times over the years with the constant ridicule over their roster management in terms of free agency and the draft. They are always getting hammered with poor assessments for their free agency choices and some of their draft picks too, including the most recent in first-round pick Tyler Smith.

No matter what is being said about this front office, the one thing that we do know is that when they have a plan, they tend to stick to that plan in order to complete their goals. They didn’t draft the best available (per media outlets) in any round. They stuck to their sheet.

We don’t know what the Cowboys’ future plans are, but we do know that they are working on building a stronger team both mentally and physically. They are following their plan and aren’t going to let anything stop them. The Joneses don’t care about new free agency trends. They stick to their guns for the betterment of the team in their eyes and no one else’s.
