11. La’Kendrick Van Zandt, S, TCU

The 2022 NFL Draft marked the first time TCU did not have a draft pick since 2008. Despite struggling with injuries throughout his time with the Horned Frogs, Van Zandt had an impressive showing at TCU’s Pro Day, displaying speed and skill. The safety finished his collegiate career with three interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and two sacks.

12. Aaron Hansford, LB, Texas A&M

PFF’s UDFA Top 100 Rank: 37

PFF’s Overall Big Board Rank: 228

This 6-2, 235 linbeacker has had quite the football journey. He went from wide receiver to linebacker (quite the transition) after his sophomore year at A&M. Regardless, he thrived. He finished his college football career with 157 total tackles, 18.5 TFLs, and seven sacks. The former Aggie is athletic and has a great build. With some time under Dan Quinn, he could certainly improve.

13. James Empey, C, BYU

PFF’s UDFA Top 100 Rank: 59

PFF’s Overall Big Board Rank: 261

Empey was a four-year starter at BYU, but likely fell on draft boards due to injuries throughout his collegiate career. The BYU product made all the line calls at center in his 41 starts. He is a skilled runblocker and has proven to have a high football IQ.

14. Peyton Hendershot, TE, Indiana

Another Hoosier joins the list in a position the Cowboys certainly need help with. Hendershot was a team captain who collected 543 receiving yards (11.8 per catch average) and four touchdowns in 12 starts. As a former basketball player, the Hoosier has great fotowork and athleticism.

It will be interesting to see what happens to all 14 of these players as they compete for a spot on the roster. Which one of these names is your favorite?
