2. Bernhard Raimann, Offensive Tackle, Central Michigan.

Another option on the offensive line is the 6-6 senior from Steinbrunn, Austria, Bernhard Raimann. He has been the subject of much debate across the football media world, as some see him very favorably, and others completely disagree. The fact of the matter with Raimann is very similar to Tyler Smith: if he develops, you have a really good offensive lineman on your hands. However, many raw O-Line prospects in recent years haven’t lived up to their potential.

The upside of Raimann is that he has already shown he can develop. He started playing football in high school, and clearly progressed in his time at Central Michigan. This obviously does not guarantee he will be able to keep moving his game forward at the NFL level, but compared to guys that started their college careers great and have stalled since, you would probably rather have a guy like Raimann.

He had an up-and-down Senior Bowl, though some will tell you he got “exposed” and that is simply not true. He had bad reps and struggled in portions, but he also held his own on more than one occasion. Compared to somebody like Nothern Iowa OT Trevor Penning, who some believe dominated the Senior Bowl (that too is false), Raimann actually might have done better.
