4. Cowboys Trade Up to Secure O-Line and D-Line Depth

On day three of the best-case scenario for the draft, the Cowboys should address depth in the offensive tackle, defensive tackle, or other defensive positions based on whoever they have taken in the earlier rounds.

The Cowboys currently have five day three picks. One is in the fourth round, four are in the fifth round, and one is in the sixth round. I personally would only like to see three or four of these picks being used and the remaining being used to trade up in the second or third round for one of the prospects I mentioned previously.

As for the picks, in the fourth round, I would like Dallas to take either a developmental tackle like Dare Rosenthal or Rasheed Walker or the opposite of what we took in the third round between DE and LB. These options could include defensive ends Myjai Sanders and Tyreke Smith, or linebackers Damone Clark or Darrian Beavers.

For Rounds 5 and 6, I want to fill in the depth at the remaining position not addressed in rounds 1-4. That could be at OT, DE, or LB. From there, the Cowboys can add a corner, defensive tackle, or safety. An offensive tackle I would be interested in is Max Mitchell.

For defensive end, Kingsley Enagbare would be my dream pick in round five if DE is not addressed earlier. The linebacker prospects of interest in Round 5would be Micah McFadden and Chance Campbell, who could both provide ILB depth.

As for DT, I would be thrilled to land one of Haskell Garrett, Otito Ogbonnia, or Eyioma Uwazurike. For the secondary, corners Jack Jones or Derion Kendrick would be a great pick. Safeties Verone McKinley III and Bubba Bolden are solid options, too.

I know I threw out a ton of names, but there are just so many great prospects in this draft, and I would be easy to please if we get a handful of these guys. While I just went over many players we can get to have a great draft, the next page will detail my exact ideal picks.
