Nakobe Dean’s Strengths

Tackling: One of Dean’s best aspects of his game is his tackling. He is one of the most sure-handed tacklers in the country and hardly misses any tackles in space. Dean has very good speed and range to help track down ball carriers and wraps up nicely with good form. He isefinitely a tough defender to shake.

Run Defending: The Bulldog is exceptional at stopping the run. He’s good at filling his gaps and making tackles in the box. Runners hardly get past him. He has the speed and timing to get around blocks and make stops in the backfield along with not allowing runners to get around him.

Leadership: Arguably, Dean’s best trait is his natural-born leadership. That Georgia defense ran through him, and he is a huge reason that Georgia won the National Championship. His motor fuels others and he always makes sure his defensive line is aligned correctly. Hustle plays are common for Dean, and his motor and leadership are something that can’t be taught.

Athleticism: Dean helps make up for any physical limitations with very good speed, acceleration, and lateral quickness. As you can see below, even when he is on the other side of the field, he can fly to the other side and just as much make a play.

Availability: A huge value for teams is how often the player can play. The Georgia product is capable of playing on all three downs and is useful in blitz and coverage packages. He also has never struggled to stay on the field for any injuries or off-field issues.
