3. Cade York – LSU

Height: 6’1 Weight: 198lbs

Career Stats: 164/168 extra points made (97.6%), 54/66 field goals made (81.8%), 57-yard career long

Cade York is someone who has proven he can handle big-game moments. He kicked a game-winning 57-yard field goal in dense fog, which also happened to be a career and school record. York has been a steady kicker during his time with the Tigers and has been clutch in games.

It is a bit bizarre that he is leaving before his senior year and some of that could be due to a lackluster offense. Hopefully, the fewer years of experience won’t affect his output and future plans for the NFL. He’s chosen a good time to enter the league as teams are going to be looking for new kickers after a lot of the missed kicks we saw last year.

York has a chance (like the other two above) of being drafted late in the draft. The Cowboys could and should be one of those teams that take a look at York and decide if they want to take a chance drafting another kicker. Dallas cannot do what they did last year and stick with Zuerlein and realize it’s too little too late in Week 16 of the season. They need to start thinking ahead and consider either getting a kicker in free agency (which is tough to do with salary cap issues) or grabbing one in the draft. Maybe one of these guys can be the next McPherson.
