3. Jesse Luketa, Outside Linebacker/Linebacker

Height 6’3, Weight 251lbs

Draft Projection: Day 3

Career Stats: 151 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, 6 passes defended, 1 interception

Parsons may be doing flips if the Cowboys drafted his best friend Jesse Luketa. Luketa is a bit of a run stopper whereas Smith is a player who could be used on the field every play.

Luketa does have experience though playing linebacker with some edge rusher and defensive tackle sprinkled in while playing with Parsons. He’s seen as a day three draft pick due to his lack of speed at each of those positions. Luketa is a jack of all trades but master on none type of situation.

So if the Cowboys do want to take a look at him as a developmental linebacker who can be coached up, then I can see them pulling the trigger. They will also most assuredly have Parsons in their ears lobbying for his best friend.
