4. NBC Sports Chicago – Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

Career stats: 168 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 7 passes defended

"“An incredibly instinctive player, Dean’s ability to decisively shoot the gaps and make plays behind the line of scrimmage, led to generating the most tackles for loss (10.5) on his team. Dean is more than just a downhill run stuffer, as evidenced by his two interceptions (one taken for a touchdown) and four passes defended. A classic three-down linebacker, Dean could fortify many of Dallas’ question marks regarding its thin linebacking unit.” -Glynn Morgan, NBC Sports Chicago"

It seems that many different mock drafts have the Cowboys taking another linebacker with their first-round pick. Much like Lloyd, Dean is an instinctive linebacker who plays with great speed and physicality that would pair nicely with Parsons in the middle of the Cowboys’ defense. Some say that Dean may have had an easier time on the field thanks to the talent along the Georgia defensive line. But, if he can come in and continue to be a force against the run, then I’m all for it.
