6. CBS Sports/Ryan Wilson – Devin Lloyd, Linebacker, Utah

Career stats: 256 total tackles, 43 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, 5 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 8 passes defended

"“Lloyd is a twitchy, sideline-to-sideline player who fits the mold of off-ball linebackers we’ve seen coming into the league over the last decade. You might note that the Cowboys just drafted Micah Parsons, who excelled as an off-ball linebacker at Penn State but has emerged as one of the most explosive edge rushers in the NFL. Adding Lloyd can take a suddenly good defense and make them great.” – Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports"

Could the Cowboys go back-to-back drafts taking a linebacker in the first round? It’s highly possible if free agent Leighton Vander Esch isn’t on the team next season. Dallas also drafted Jabril Cox last season, but he’s coming off an ACL injury, so we don’t know what we will get from him next season.

If they do decide to go with Lloyd, Dallas would be getting another explosive linebacker with the same speed and instincts as Micah Parsons. Having two linebackers that can do the exact same things would be a very alluring proposition and make things tougher on opposing offenses for years to come.
