3. Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver, Alabama

With Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson set to hit free agency, the Cowboys should be in the market for a wide receiver. The lack of explosive plays from the wide receivers in the playoffs was concerning and there are talks that Amari Cooper might be on his way out of Dallas.

If any of that is true, the Cowboys must add another wide receiver. This is a deep draft class at wide receiver with potentially six receivers being selected in the first round. But, if I am the Cowboys I would target Jameson Williams from Alabama.

Williams is a great athlete that would bring the Cowboys a playmaker that can take the top off the defense. He also has elite speed, with a 40-yard dash time of 4.29. Additionally, his production this year at Alabama was incredible – 79 receptions, 1,572 yards, and 19 touchdowns.

Unfortunately, Williams tore his ACL in the National Championship game. He will be unable to participate in any pre-draft showcases, and I believe that will hurt his draft stock. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick with his spot fluctuating from 15-30. Jones can take advantage of the talented receiver potentially falling lower than he deserves.

Depending on what the Cowboys decide to do in free agency and with Cooper, Williams should be in consideration for Dallas in the first round.
