Cowboys vs Eagles: Weather Outlook

Location: Lincoln Financial Field

Stadium Type: Open stadium, natural grass

Predicted Forecast: High of 30, low of 18, plenty of sunshine during the day, winds of 6-7mph with gusts up to 15-16mph

These temperatures look about as enjoyable as any collection of Eagles fans I have ever seen or been introduced to. The temperatures don’t look fun, enjoyable, nice, or even okay… so that should tell you where Philly stands in my book.

While it may be chilly Saturday evening, that is luckily the only weather that should come into play. We avoid snow and we avoid overly gusty winds. Fire up the heaters, get the heated benches cranked up, and have the parkas ready to go.

The Cowboys know that this game is not even close to the end goal so I would not be shocked to see this weather play into the decision of resting some guys.  As noted above, Jayron Kearse is nursing a hamstring issue and could benefit from the extra rest. Many other guys like Ezekiel Elliott could use a break as well.

My first thought goes to soft tissue injuries like that when it is this cold. No need to risk a hamstring, groin, or something like that for a handful of the key starters.
