Speaking of things that won’t be forgiven in the playoffs… Cowboys kicker Greg Zuerlein missed both of his extra-point attempts against the Giants. Yes, he made all of his field goals. But it is just infuriating to watch a guy who is paid to kick the ball miss routine kicks from 33 yards away. Luckily, the Cowboys didn’t need those two points to win the game, but you never know.

It is soft to blame the wind. Justin Tucker and Nick Folk have to deal with “the elements” all the time on kicks from 50+ yards away. I don’t want to hear about the wind.

Remember, too, that Zuerlein missed an extra point and 59-yard field goal in the Thanksgiving game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Zuerlein now ranks dead last in the league in extra-point made percentage at 83.8%. Somehow, that’s the highest number in his last four seasons. Here are his XP completion percentages for the previous three seasons: 83.33%, 82.93%, and 72.73%.

The Cowboys may be on the hunt for a new kicker sooner than we think. In the meantime, fans on Twitter had a hay day trolling Zuerlein.

Some expect him to get demoted to the XFL…

Others got creative with GIFs…

And, others compared it to the pregame kicker tryouts the Carolina Panthers had to have after Zane Gonzalez got hurt in warmups.

The point is, this guy is known far and wide for missing extra-point attempts and nothing has changed in the last three seasons. That’s a problem.

As we look ahead to Week 16, we hope these three players can do a 180 against Washington in Dallas.
