NFL power rankings: Fools gold
17. Cleveland Browns (6-5) – Last ranking, 10th
16. Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) – Last ranking, 11th
15. San Francisco 49ers (5-5) – Last ranking, 24th
14. Philadelphia Eagles (5-6) – Last ranking, 27th
13. Minnesota Vikings (5-5) – Last ranking, 17th
Cleveland’s offense is struggling right now, while the Bengals defense is letting the team down. Meanwhile, Philadelphia and San Francisco are both 3-1 since Halloween. No team plays closer games than the Vikings who might be the hardest team to gauge as they could easily be 9-1 or 2-7.
NFL power rankings: Dangerous teams on the verge of something special or something tragic
12. Los Angeles Chargers (6-4) – Last ranking, 8th
11. Indianapolis Colts (6-5) – Last ranking, 15th
10. New England Patriots (7-4) – Last ranking, 19th
All three of these teams should make the playoffs but seem to have something that could go wrong in a hurry. The Chargers have a knack for being incapable of putting teams away. Indianapolis has a potent offense with a questionable defense, while New England is the exact opposite.
