NFL power rankings: Eyes on 2022

32. Detroit Lions (0-9-1) – Last ranking, 32nd
31. New York Jets (2-8) – Last ranking, 31st
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) – Last ranking, 29th
29. Chicago Bears (3-7) – Last ranking, 18th
28. New York Giants (3-7) – Last ranking, 26th
27. Houston Texans (2-8) – Last ranking, 28th
26. Seattle Seahawks (3-7) – Last ranking, 23rd
25. Atlanta Falcons (4-6) – Last ranking, 22nd
24. Miami Dolphins (4-7) – Last ranking, 30th

While none of these teams have been “technically” eliminated from playoff contention, none of these teams have any real chance at postseason play. The Bears have taken the biggest nose dive, owning the current longest losing streak in the league, while only New England and Kansas City have been hotter than the Dolphins.

NFL power rankings: Impressively average

23. Denver Broncos (5-5) – Last ranking, 21st
22. Las Vegas Raiders (5-5) – Last ranking, 12th
21. Carolina Panthers (5-6) – Last ranking, 20th
20. Washington Football Team (4-6) – Last ranking, 25th
19. New Orleans Saints (5-5) – Last ranking, 14th
18. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4-1) – Last ranking, 16th

Washington, Denver, and Carolina have had all had impressive wins since Halloween, but the Broncos and Panthers have also had an ugly loss during this time as well. The wheels have completely come off the Raiders, parting ways with their head coach and releasing two former top picks in the last month. New Orleans might be the most injured team of 2021 with the Steelers not far behind.
