Dallas Cowboys: Trevon Diggs vs Courtland Sutton

Sutton is by far having the best statistical season of any Denver Bronco. He leads the team in targets, receptions, receiving yards, big plays, and yards per game. Sutton is 6’4” 216 pounds and is the perfect type of receiver for Trevon Diggs to be covering. He does not have blazing speed but he is a great deep threat due to his size and strength.

Diggs faced off with a similar receiver in Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans in Week 1, a game in which Evans finished with 3 catches for 24 yards. But, in this game, Tom Brady will not be the opposing quarterback. It will be Teddy Bridgewater.

Bridgewater loves targeting Sutton but his lack of arm strength makes it difficult for him to push the ball down the field often. Diggs should be able to match up nicely with Sutton and give himself an opportunity to add to his league-leading interception total of 7.

The Cowboys should be leading for a majority of this game, so Denver will be forced to throw and that means Sutton will get a ton of looks. As long as Diggs does not get too aggressive and allow himself to get beaten deep, he should have the upper hand on Sunday.
