Dallas Cowboys: 1. Head and shoulders above the rest of NFC East

The standings after three weeks in the NFC East are as follows,

But, I am here to say the Cowboys should be the heavy favorites to run away with this division. Some may have thought the Eagles were the second-best team and well we saw what the Cowboys did to them. Washington is missing their starting quarterback and the Giants just can’t seem to get out of their own way.

The only thing that can stop the Cowboys from winning this division is themselves. If they can stay healthy and continue to get better each week they can be as good as anybody in the NFC let alone the NFC East.

As with most teams most years, you will only be as good as the play of your quarterback and the quarterback disparity in the division is huge. Washington has no long-term answer, the Giants have Daniel Jones who just does not look like a franchise player and the Eagles turned their franchise over to Jalen Hurts who is limited as a passer with his best weapon being his legs.

Dak Prescott on the other hand has shown the ability to win big games and perform at a high level for multiple years. He has won a playoff game, made Pro Bowls, and carried the Cowboys the past few seasons. On Monday night, he threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns Monday while completing 21 of 26 attempts. Which was another awesome performance in the home opener.

Dak remains in total control of the offense as he and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore look totally in sync. As long as Prescott is on the field the Cowboys shall remain heavy favorites to take back the division crown for the first time since 2018.
