2. Randy Gregory, DE

Randy Gregory has been on quite a journey through his NFL career. He has been suspended multiple times for violating the substance abuse policy since being drafted in 2015.

But, in 2021, he finally has a full off-season to prepare and no looming suspensions to worry about. This should be the year we get to see the best of Gregory.

Dallas had one of the worst secondaries in the league last season. As most know, the best compliment to a struggling secondary is a good pass-rush.

So far in Gregory’s career, he has played in 38 games while recording 10.5 sacks and 35 quarterback hits. But, flashes of elite pass-rush ability have been shown in Gregory’s play.

Coming out of Nebraska, Gregory was sought after as one of the top pass-rushers in the 2015 NFL draft. But, the previously mentioned off-field issues allowed him to fall to Dallas in the second round.

My expectation for Gregory is that he reaches double-digit sacks for the first time in a season in 2021. The 28-year-old is entering a contract year and he should be plenty motivated to have his best season yet.

Playing opposite of DeMarcus Lawrence, Gregory should see plenty of one-on-one matchups that he should be able to exploit. This upcoming season may be the last chance for Gregory as a Cowboy so expect the best season from him yet.
