THE NEW COWBOYS RUN STUFFERS

With the Cowboys targeted roster additions, the defense now has the pieces to field a top-five run unit (yards per carry). Massive two-gap, one technique tackles will be invaluable. Veteran Brent Urban is a proven run specialist. 6-ffot-4, 340+ pounds rookie Quinton Bohanna flashed the girth and power to stuff high draftees from Alabama.

At three-technique defensive tackle, the sudden power of Neville Gallimore will now be aided by a quicker, more explosive rookie in Osa Odighizuwa. These two players will cause havoc penetrating gaps into the backfield to alter the run.

The linebacker room added an athletic duo of dynamic run stoppers. Veteran Keanu Neal excels with a downhill attacking style. And rookie Micah Parsons is an athletic freak of nature. His elite size, speed, and relentless drive will be eye-popping while running clean behind the brute of the defensive line.

At defensive end, DeMarcus Lawrence is one of the best run defenders in the league. A fully acclimated, rejuvenated Randy Gregory has shown he’s much more than just a talented pass rusher. Pairing the new front seven additions with these two bookend studs will result in a very potent run-stopping force.
