The Dallas Cowboys got a steal while missing out on their top two targets. It’s not often that happens, but hey, I’m not complaining. Linebacker Micah Parsons out of Penn State is going to put on a show.

I love having athletic freaks, and Parsons fits that description. With a RAS grade of 9.59, it doesn’t get much better than him. With a blazing 40-yard dash time of 4.36 and a 10-foot six-inch broad jump, he is going to make plays all over the field.

He only played in 2018 and 2019, but that was enough to make him the best defensive prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft. Racking up 82 tackles in 2018 was impressive, but 109 tackles, five batted passes, 5.0 sacks, and four forced fumbles in 2019 is eye-popping.

While Micah Parsons is responsible when in coverage, he excels at run-stopping and pass-rushing. The Dallas Cowboys needed help stopping the run and getting to the quarterback, so it’s a perfect fit. He may not have been Dallas’ first option, but he certainly is a great backup option.
