Another team with ten overall picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Vikings definitely have what it takes to move up if they so choose. If the Vikings love Horn or Surtain enough, they could be motivated to move up.

In order for it to be worth it for the Dallas Cowboys, the offer from Minnesota would likely look something similar to the following:

Vikings get Cowboys’ tenth pick 10 with Dallas getting Minnesota’s 14th, 78th, and 125th selections.

The most likely reason that Dallas entertains this deal is that they secretly covet Caleb Farley more than Surtain or Horn or they have their eye on a linebacker.

You will notice that I do not see the Cowboys making any moves upwards, at least in the first round. If they have their heart set on a specific player, they could give Carolina or possibly Detroit a call, but the cost may outweigh the benefit.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport also agrees that the Dallas Cowboys do not seem to have any intention of moving up either.

With so many offensive players likely to be taken ahead of them through the first nine selections, Dallas should be sitting pretty to select a great defender. If another team wants to join the party and get involved on the offensive run, the Cowboys certainly have a prime spot in which to occupy.
