Round 3, Pick 75

Tyson Campbell, CB – Georgia
Pro Day Results: 4.40 – 40-yard dash, 34.5-inch vertical jump, 124-inch broad jump

After using their tenth-overall pick on a cornerback, I went back to the defensive backfield and doubled up choosing Campbell. In today’s NFL, you can never have enough capable cornerbacks.

With Diggs, Jaycee Horn, Anthony Brown, and Jourdan Lewis, Campbell would make the Dallas Cowboys defensive backs one of the best and most talented groups in the NFL

Round 3, Pick 99

Dylan Moses, LB – Alabama
Pro Day Results: N/A

The choice of Moses here is mostly due to the fact that there are questions surrounding the Cowboys linebacker corps. Leighton Vander Esch’s injury history is semi-concerning.

Jaylon Smith’s play last year was abysmal at best. Veterans Sean Lee and Joe Thomas are gone, while free-agent safety Keanu Neal will be asked to move to the spot to provide help.

Enter Moses who would battle Francis Bernard and Luke Gifford as that “next man up” immediately. Moses is likely going to be more a two-down linebacker as he does lack coverage skills, but he is an effective sideline-to-sideline who won’t get embarrassed in the open field.
