1. No stars for Kyle Pitts

I’m going to make a bold prediction on the Kyle Pitts narrative right here, right now. Tune in carefully now.

The Dallas Cowboys will not join forces with Kyle Pitts. Here’s the rub: The tight end won’t fall to the 10th overall spot. He just won’t be there. So, let’s stop with the speculation and poppycock chatter.

All these ingredients aren’t worth two cents to keep thinking about. I’ll boil it down to three simple bullet points:

  1. Kyle Pitts won’t drop in the 2021 NFL Draft
  2. Jerry Jones doesn’t have the gall (nor the ammunition) to jump up the pecking NFL Draft order
  3. The Dallas Cowboys are starving for defense!

And there you go. All the speculation and hype around the two joining forces is just that: Speculation. Let’s move on to the real issue, and that’s defense.

I simply don’t think the owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, is willing to spend resources to wrestle away Pitts. The Cowboys can afford to stay put, see what cards fall to them, and then draft at the 10th overall spot.
