#4 – Tyron Smith, OT – First Round (2011)

When Tyron Smith was drafted by the Cowboys in 2011 he came in as a 21-year-old rookie. But, his size and movement on the field differentiated him from many 21-year-olds.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive tackle has been a dominant force in the league since day one. Smith is a seven-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, and was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s.

Taking away the 2020 season where he only played in two games, the former USC Trojan has played in at least 13 games every other season of his career.

The offensive line has been a huge part of the Cowboys’ success in recent years, including blocking for three NFL league-leading rushers. DeMarco Murray in 2014, and Ezekiel Elliott in 2016/2018.

As Smith enters his 30s his long-term outlook with the team remains uncertain. But, he will be apart of the 2021 roster and the Cowboys need him to stay healthy to give the offense the best chance at success.
