Round 3, Pick 11: Victor Dimukeje

• EDGE, Duke
• Height/Weight: 6-3, 265 lbs.

First impressions?

Hey look, I didn’t take Marvin Wilson this time! The defensive tackle from Florida State was there, but the draft gods provided a new slate of talent. Enter Victor Dimukeje out of Duke.

The defender played four seasons with Duke. He accumulated 166 tackles, three pass deflections, four forced fumbles, an interception, and 21.5 sacks. He is from Baltimore, MD.

The Cowboys power up the defensive rush with this EDGE rusher, who fits the 4-3 scheme. Big D needs new blood on the defensive line. And while I still love taking Marvin Wilson in the third round, Dimukeje offers a lot of bright points as well.

Curtain call?

Man, could you really imagine if the Dallas Cowboys take Surtain II, Nasirildeen, and Dimukeje with their first three overall picks? Defense. Defense. And yes, defense. As a whole, I could see the trio adding strength and depth to Big D for years to come.
