Jaycee Horn, CB – South Carolina

Horn is the son of former New Orleans Saints wide receiver, Joe Horn. So his NFL bloodlines are a big reason why he will be a first-round pick. It’s no secret the Cowboys are in desperate need of help in their secondary and Horn would be a great addition.

Cornerback is arguably the biggest position of need on the Cowboys’ entire roster, so spending a premium pick on a defensive back is a good idea. What I like most about Horn is his confidence. As a cornerback, you must be tenacious between the lines or you will get beat play after play.

Being able to cover big receivers has always been a problem in Dallas. Also, being able to create turnovers on defense has hindered this team for years. The six-foot-one, 205-pound Horn has the athleticism to match up against any receiver and give them a fight.

Horn recorded two interceptions last season in the five games he played before opting out. Strengthing up the defense in the early rounds should be a priority for Dallas and I am sure Horn will be under consideration.
