1. John Johnson III, Safety

The Dallas Cowboys are in desperate need of quality safety play. Even with the promising emergence of hard-hitting safety Donovan Wilson the team still needs someone to play opposite of him on the field.

The Cowboys’ young safety Xavier Woods will be headed for free agency this offseason. Woods has struggled this season and might not be brought back by Dallas. However, even if he is the team could still use help at the safety position.

Considering the dearth of top-level safety talent in this upcoming NFL draft this is a need the team might have to fill in free agency. Los Angeles Rams safety John Johnson III would be a great player for the team to consider bringing in this offseason.

The 25-year old safety is young and has shown tremendous potential for the Rams in his short career. However, the Rams currently have several highly talented safeties and might have to part ways with Johnson this offseason. That loss could end up being a significant gain for the Dallas Cowboys.

Johnson currently has eight career interceptions through his first four seasons in the league. He has played every single game this season for the Rams and has shown versatility in his career by suiting up as both a strong and a free safety.

John Johnson III is a talented, young safety who would instantly improve the Dallas Cowboys secondary. His versatility and the lack of strong options at this position in this years’ draft should lead America’s Team to keep a very close eye on this promising defender.
