3 notes to digest before the Dallas Cowboys host Browns
1. The Baker and Dak fight
I don’t think Baker Mayfield is on the same level as Dak Prescott. If I’m being completely honest, I would easily spend a first-round pick on Prescott whereas, with Mayfield, I wouldn’t even push my scouts to give him a second look.
Prescott is several quarterback levels above the Browns quarterback in terms of skill, leadership, growth, and potential. Putting the pair in the same sentence is a bit of a disgrace to Prescott if you ask me.
But, having said that, I’m still excited to see the two duel it out on the field. We have two young stars, who are the faces of their respective franchise and arguably the NFL, face off. Again, when it’s all said and done, I expect Prescott to have a longer, story filled career than Baker Mayfield.
To date, both quarterbacks have five touchdown passes and a pair of interceptions. Mayfield has tossed 564 yards, while Prescott has passed for a whopping 1,118 yards. Prescott has also tucked the ball 14 times for 74 yards and three rushing scores.
If Prescott wants to prove he’s worth the big cash, he has to topple the other major franchise faces, including Baker Mayfield. Prescott couldn’t pull out the Houdini act last week in the final play against Seattle. But he can certainly prove his NFL dominance this Sunday by taking the Brownies to the trash.
