#2. An Aldon Smith Resurgence

The man started his career with a 14 sack season and followed that up with a near-20 sack season at 19.5 in 2012.

With around five years away from the game and all things pointing upwards, according to what you’ve heard from those close to the situation such as Mike McCarthy, he should have a relatively big year ahead of him.

I can’t say what a resurgence should look like for Aldon Smith, but I’d be willing to say that he comes within two sacks of Robert Quinn’s team-high 11.5 sacks last season.

Remember, that was enough to secure Quinn five years and $70 million from the Bears.

So, I predict Aldon Smith finishes with at least 9.5 sacks this season.Piece of cake for a guy with a fresh body that’s seen him get 20 of them in a season before, right? We’ll see.
