Running Back Ezekiel Elliott, pressure scale: 1.1

Stop the nonsense that Ezekiel Elliott has a ton of pressure on him to perform this season. His stats weren’t amazing in 2019 but he still is better than any replacement that could ever be found.

Elliott also is one of the few running backs in the league that doesn’t have to deal with the nonsense of waiting for a long term contract, at a position where you have to ball out to be offered one. He has his $90 million already.

Elliott does need to refine his numbers a little bit in 2020, after watching his yards per game average dip even further last season. Still, he scored 14 total touchdowns last season and was fourth in the NFL with regards to total rushing yards.

Also, Zeke is trying to become the first running back to have three career rushing titles since Hall of Fame running backs Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith both did it in the 1990s.

Elliott would be only the fourth running back since 1980 to have three rushing titles if he leads the league again. That’s not pressure, that’s just excellence.
