Three reasons CeeDee Lamb might be Cowboys most productive WR this year
#3. Lamb will touch the ball from a myriad of different positions and ‘looks’
You ever heard the saying it’s a numbers game. A common sports situation from another sport that fits when discussing this notion is the NBA’s Houston Rockets.
A heavy analytics-based team, they believe that if they shoot enough threes, they will always make enough to give themselves a chance to win any game. It really is that simple with them. That is the literal definition of “it’s a numbers game”.
The same phenomenon applies to CeeDee Lamb. The more he touches the ball, the better his chances of putting up extremely productive and impressive numbers will be. This includes lining him up on the outside, in the slot, in the backfield, or using him on run plays like the jet sweep.
Basically, Lamb could line up anywhere and be the guy that the play is being called for. No matter where he lines up. If he has as many touches as the other two, and with his talent, he could outpace them.
It doesn’t matter where the production comes from, as long as it comes. That’s all that matters if you’re the Dallas Cowboys and their supporters.
However, because of the three reasons mentioned, I can definitely see this season playing out this way. That is why I believe that CeeDee Lamb might be the most productive Cowboys’ wideout this year.
