WORTHY STARTERS

3. BRUCE CARTER (LB) – 2011 DRAFT

Carter was not great but definitely formed a formidable interior linebacker tandem with a younger Sean Lee for three years. He started 32 games in Dallas with 242 tackles.

4. CHIDOBE AWUZIE (CB) – 2017 DRAFT

Awuzie may leap Carter after 2020 plays out. Not yet, as there was a time when Lee and Carter together were feared in the division. Awuzie has been productive but never feared. His 36 starts, three interceptions, and 32 pass deflections are admirable.

5. CONNOR WILLIAMS (OG) – 2018 DRAFT

Williams has started 21 games in his first two seasons. He’s had stretches of quality play in the early years. Though there have also been times his lacking strength has made him seem greatly outclassed in the trenches.

TO BE DETERMINED

6. TREVON DIGGS (CB) – 2020 NFL DRAFT

Diggs may skyrocket to the top category in a few seasons. He has real talent and promise. However, before playing an NFL down, it’s unrealistic to rank him higher now.

All three in the ‘worthy starters’ category started or made strong contributions as rookies. And the two players in the highest category have secured Pro Bowls.
