7) ARIZONA (NFC WEST, 2019 RECORD: 5-10-1)

DeAndre Hopkins (1,165 yards) adds major firepower to the passing game. The running game remains a big weak spot, and tight end is very bare. Rookie and eighth overall draft pick Isiah Simmons will help the defense.

The Cardinals will be better, but still need another year to compete with the top of this division. They do have a boom factor with new veterans coming in. It’s possible they could unseat the third place Rams, but may be a year off.

8) NEW YORK GIANTS (NFC EAST, 2019 RECORD: 4-12)

A relatively weak receiving corps, plus former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett now calling the plays will limit the offense. The 30th ranked defense will only be slightly better than 2019. 7 wins would be a successful season.

9) WASHINGTON (NFC EAST, 2019 RECORD: 3-13)

The doormat of the NFC East will continue to hold that position. There’s nothing electric about their passing, rushing, or receiving talent. Receiver Terry McLaurin is a rising star but doesn’t have a supporting cast to draw away extra attention.

Rookie phenom Chase Young will walk in and make noise on the defense. Kyle Fuller’s signing helps at corner. Even improving to a top 20 defense won’t turn this uninspiring roster into a playoff contender.
