How do you not love this guy? I mean, for his outrageous statements alone, you gotta appreciate the man.

Fear in the heart of quarterbacks. Hey, if that’s all this guy was, an awesome quote machine, he’d still be the favorite of many.

However, on top of that, the Pro Bowl defensive end also made 25 sacks between 2017-18. Plus, he’s great against the run, something many sack artists deem beneath them. All of this is why the team brass signed him to a $105 million contract last year in the offseason.

Unfortunately, Lawrence had a drop-off in production in 2019. He only recorded 5.0 sacks. But he also had shoulder surgery in that same offseason.  So he had an excuse. He’s pretty much guaranteed his sack numbers will be back up this year. Will he be able to back up those words? We’ll see.
