The Dallas Cowboys have done a phenomenal job drafting players over the years but they have also missed horribly. Defensive end Taco Charlton quickly comes to mind as does the entire 2009 draft class.

What if Dallas once again reaches for a player that most have a lower grade than some people might suggest. Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray or TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor are good prospects but would indeed be a reach at 17.

I have both players just outside of my top 50 prospects but would not be surprised for the Cowboys to target a certain player instead of select the best player available.

The point I am making is that at this time of the year, anything can happen. No matter the odds, you have 32 different front office’s that all have a different agenda but one singular goal. It’s how they go on about achieving the goal is what makes the draft so intriguing.
