With the 82nd pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select …

Bryce Hall, CB – Virginia

As soon as the Dallas Cowboys acquired an additional top 100 pick, one of them had to be earmarked for the cornerback position. Here I figured the smart move would be to double up on it.

After losing Byron Jones in free agency (ironically to Miami), the Cowboys immediately have a void to fill. Dallas has another issue as both Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis are free agents after this season. Pure and simple, Dallas needs at least, if not two cornerbacks.

Both Holmes and Hall have the size to compete in man-to-man press coverage at the next level. They both produced well at big schools as well, combining for 13 career interceptions, five forced fumbles, and two touchdowns.

All in all, picking up four talented defensive players in the top 100 as well as a future pick seems like a good weekend for the Dallas Cowboys. Feel free to leave your thoughts below.
