With the 82nd overall pick in round three of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select…

Logan Wilson, LB – Wyoming

Do the Dallas Cowboys need a linebacker? Probably not more so than either a safety or a tight end, but Wilson is too good to pass up at this spot.

Injury history and free agency make the linebacker position dicey for Dallas. Sean Lee has several past injuries and is a free agent. Leighton Vander Esch missed seven games last year with a neck issue and Jaylon Smith needed a full year to recover from his blown-out knee in college.

Enter Wilson, a 6-foot-2, 241 lb. stat sheet stuffer. In four years at Wyoming, Wilson totaled seven sacks and ten interceptions with 34.5 tackles for loss. If Lee is re-signed, Wilson would be the perfect fourth linebacker who could learn a lot from Lee and Vander Esch. Otherwise, he could certainly be in the mix as a day one starter.

Other possible options available: Jordyn Brooks, LB – Texas Tech, Malik Harrison, LB – Ohio State, Bryce Hall, CB – Virginia
