Quarterback Tony Romo is in a separate category than tight end Jason Witten. The fringe Hall of Famer could have used a championship to secure his legacy in the hall but fell short.

The team’s all-time passing leader ranks atop almost every statistical category in the Cowboys record books but falls short in the only department that counts.

His lack of championships and big game failures have put Romo in a love-hate relationship in Dallas. Almost everyone can agree that he was a very good quarterback. It was his inability to win when it mattered that frustrated fans.
