#1 – Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back

I will be the first to say I expect running back Ezekiel Elliott to have amazing games every week. That’s because I know he can dominate any team out there without a doubt. Because he was playing just good for the first half of the season, I had him as a step-down.

Many people disagree because of rookie Tony Pollard and Zeke getting fewer touches. Regardless of that, he did take a step down. That doesn’t mean he was playing bad, just not as good as I know he can.

On Monday he must have read what I said and just blew away the Giants. This is exactly what I was saying Zeke could do. I would expect more of Monday to occur throughout the season.

To start, he averaged just over six yards per carry with exactly 6.04 yards. He did not score a touchdown, but honestly, he did not need one. After this bye week, Zeke is looking rejuvenated and he looks like he is starving.

The power that Elliott was running with is enough to make me scared through a screen. It’s something that will lead him to put up a couple more games similar to this one. Because of how dominant he played, he gets my pick for the first star of the week.
