Is that enough?

Well, looking at the stats Romo has never really been amazing. Sure he showed he was great in the fourth quarter and he has a really high passer rating, but there is one key component missing to get him into the Hall of Fame.

Tony Romo does not have a Super Bowl … or a Super Bowl appearance … or an appearance in the NFC conference finals. That is exactly what is going to hold Tony Romo from getting a gold jacket.

Technically you don’t need a Super Bowl ring to make the Hall of Fame. Look at former quarterbacks Dan Marino and Jim Kelly. There is a big difference between Romo and those two legends.

Jim Kelly is the only quarterback to lead a team to four straight Super Bowls and Marino has accomplished almost everything except for a Super Bowl win.

Verdict

I really don’t think Tony Romo will make the Hall of Fame. That’s not to say he wasn’t a great quarterback, he just isn’t one of the best in NFL history.

Regardless, he had a very successful career, especially when you consider the fact that he was undrafted. If he had some more playoff success, then maybe things would be a little different.
