The Dallas Cowboys are their own biggest hurdle to jump

One of the reasons why they are their biggest hurdles to overcome is the fact that they must not let this money talk disrupt their chemistry and flow. While players that perform to the highest level deserve to be compensated for their performances and talents, they must also realize that if not for the team, they would not be able to display the talents that will eventually get them paid.

They also must realize that if they continue to win and do their jobs, the money situations will take care of themselves, thus playing out the way that they want them to. That is the first reason why they are their own biggest hurdle, being that they must not let the talk of new deals or why someone hasn’t gotten a new deal to interrupt the ultimate goal, which is to win football games.

The next reason why they are their own biggest hurdle has everything to do with how they went about winning during last season. After a Monday Night Football loss to the Tennessee Titans on last season, the Dallas Cowboys went on to win seven of their next eight games. They had to win at least seven of those games to even make it into the playoffs.

This was the case because they had gotten off to such an inconsistent start prior to that game. While of course you never want to get off to such a start that puts you in a tough situation like that, you don’t want that run of winning seven of eight to give you a false sense of reality either.

The Dallas Cowboys must protect themselves against two things here. They would be to keep from being inconsistent and as volatile to start the season, but also in believing that things will work out the way they did last season in all instances.

This is another reason why they are their own biggest hurdle because they cannot allow themselves to get in a hole as they did last season, while also not carrying around the mentality that it is all okay because they dug out of that hole on last season.
