Clue #3 – Boise State Brotherhood, Track Record

The final clue Iloka is a sleeping giant in Dallas is more nuanced, but still a hint. What is the return on investment for Boise State players under Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett? Um, the word great is an understatement.

Iloka walked into a brotherhood when he walked into Cowboys’ facility. A fellowship of former college underdogs that rise to the top in Dallas, when other teams might bury them under economic and favoritism politics. The Cowboys greatly value Boise State players, and Iloka will have some of the team’s best lobbying for him.

Out of all the safeties currently with the Cowboys, Iloka is the only one who earned a starter-sized contract while with the Bengals. His career production is higher than every safety on the team. He’s also durable, a sure-tackler, possessing good but not excellent ball skills.

Iloka is a bigger Church (6-2, 218). And we all knew Barry was, at minimum, a very reliable starter. Iloka is also a pro’s pro that the Cowboy fanbase is sleeping on. But I believe the giant safety will wake us up.

My prediction? I believe George Iloka will win the crowd in the preseason. He will lay big hits and Dallas Cowboys’ fans will fall in love with him. Iloka’s sure-tackling mixed with his size on the field will be impossible to ignore. Expect Iloka to earn himself a starting role in the secondary this summer.
