#5 – Power to Philly

The Eagles have been busy. Defensive tackle Malik Jackson is expected to sign with the 2018 Super Bowl champs. His days with the Jacksonville Jaguars are over. The big man, standing at 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, should give the Cowboys’ front line some competition.

#6 – General Sean Lee back to The ‘Boys

He’s back. No, not Jason Witten. Lee. Sean Lee. Some aren’t happy about this deal, which saw Mr. Lee restructure his deal to return to Big D. Yes, the Cowboys are in a youth movement, and the additions of Jason Witten and of Lee may sway things.

But the plan is to implement rising stars Jaylon Smith, Leighton Vander Esch, and Sean Lee as a single unit, on the field at one time. I’m intrigued.

#7 – The chosen one

He’s going to play football in some city this year. Will Earl Thomas spend his final days in Dallas? Who knows. But with the Cowboys possibly making a strong (read: final) push for the future Hall of Fame safety, things are going to get really exciting the next few days.

Will Thomas take a pay cut? Does he want to best Landon Collins (six-year, $84 million contract)? Of course. But can the Dallas Cowboys make it happen? We’ll see.
