4. Amari Cooper

Wide receiver Amari Cooper, like Vander Esch, joined the Cowboys with some mixed feelings from the fan base. Most people thought he could be a good player once again, but the first round pick seemed like a high price tag.

Cooper hopped right in the offense and put up some gaudy numbers. In his first game with the Cowboys, he grabbed a touchdown in the red zone. Cooper ran the little pivot route and gained more than enough separation for quarterback Dak Prescott to throw an easy touchdown.

In only nine games with the Dallas Cowboys, Cooper caught 53 passes for 725 yards and six touchdowns. The Cowboys’ offense struggled without having a go-to receiver on the outside. Cooper is the type of guy that only helps the team the more targets he gets.

Every time the ball is in Cooper’s hands there is a big chance he takes it the house. While being a home run threat, the receiver is also a very reliable catcher.

On various occasions, Cooper pulled down contested catches along the sideline to move the chains. This skill cannot be overlooked. Having the ability to run vertically down the field while being precise and quick in and out of breaks to run intermediate routes is what makes Cooper truly great.

The most notable game came against the Philadelphia Eagles where Cooper burned them for 217 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 targets. If everything goes as planned, Cooper will frustrate Eagle’s fans for years to come.
