So with a phenomenal season under Smith’s belt, we wonder: Can Smith repeat his performance in 2019?

Not only can he repeat with a good season, but he can be even better. Smith has not reached his ceiling. With another year of experience, Smith’s instincts will continue to grow.

Smith’s chemistry with the rest of the front seven will grow. In short, the game will slow down for him. It already looks like Smith is sprinting while everyone else on the field is jogging. Can you imagine how good he could be with another year in the same system, with the same defensive coordinator, etc.?

If everything goes to plan, Smith and Vander Esch will be dueling each other for Pro Bowl votes for years to come. Vander Esch should be better in his second year, but do not underestimate Smith. He will continue to prove people wrong in 2019.

Do you think that Smith has reached his potential? Between Vander Esch and Smith, who would you rather have for the next 10 years? Where does Smith rank among the best linebackers in the league? Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below!
